I am updating my reviews as I get through each novella 🙂
The End Zone
By L.J. Shen
The End Zone was about childhood friends Sage and Jolie. Sage is a hot up and coming football star and Jolie was the next door neighbor who has loved him since they were 10.
I LOVED Sage and Jolie. I loved their banter with each other and man the chemistry waz off the charts. Novella’s can be hit or miss but this was a definate hit for me. the author caught my attention right off the bat and had me rooting for Sage and Jolie. The twist there shocked me but I LOVED it. I wish more had happened when the news came out but again it is just a Novella so what happened was just fine (no spoilers from me). this is my first book by L.J. Shen but it will not be my last. The writing is excellent, the characters were well developed and both strong and complimentary to each other. The story flows extremely well (I didnt want it to end). I am looking forward to reading more from this author
Slapped into Love
by Rochelle Paige
This was a cute no angst read. I enjoyed it and the secondary characters in this novella. Very sweet Insta love romance.
Full Court Press
by Kennedy Ryan
This was the story of sports journalist Avery Hughes and former basketball player MacKenzie “Mack” Decker.
I enjoyed this novella. I personally liked how Ms. Ryan felt with the aftermath of what happened to Avery. (No spoilers). I felt that the relationship between Avery and Deck was great. They were hot togwther and I feel genuine in their feelings.
There wasn’t a ton of angst in this one, just a short quick read and flowed very well. the plot was interesting and a nice spin on the whole sports trope.
